Brian Gonzalez
Brian Gonzales began classical training in 2003 at the Elementary Ballet School "Alejo Carpentier" and continued his studies at the National School of Ballet "Fernando Alonso". In 2013 he joined the National Ballet of Cuba under the direction of Alicia Alonso. As a member of the company's artistic cast, he performed principal and character roles in notable works from the traditional repertoire, including "Don Quixote," "La Fille mal Gardée," and "Swan Lake."
In 2018, he became part of Acosta Danza, directed by Carlos Acosta, where he contributed to the creative processes for works specifically created for the company. These included Acosta's own version of "Carmen," scenes from "Don Quixote," as well as "Paysage, soudain, la nuit" by Pontus Lidberg, the "pas de deux de La Sílfide" by August Bournonville, and "Alrededor No Hay Nada" and "Imponderable" by Goyo Montero, along with "Satori" by Raúl Reinoso. He also performed in "Twelve" by Jorge Crecis and the duet "Nosotros" by Beatriz García and Raúl Reinoso at the International Singapore Arts Festival. Brian joined the Tampa City Ballet in 2024 and works with Marta to develop programming for students who study specialized dance careers.
