SARAH MCINVALE
Sarah McInvale’s passion for dance began at the age of three under the artistic direction and jazz instruction of Dyane Elkins IronWing. Though she concentrated on ballet as instructed by Nanako Yamamoto and Don Tolj, she also had years of tap training with Troy IronWing, modern training with Erica Lessner and Jennie Petuch, and hip-hop training with Dreama Davidson.
As a young dancer, Ms. McInvale also attended master training with Linda Maybarduk (National Ballet of Canada), Victoria Schneider (The HARID Conservatory), Laura Valentin (Balleteatro Nacional de Puerto Rico), and Fosse principal Gary Flannery. Ms. McInvale performed with professional dancers of the Moscow Ballet in The Nutcracker at The Mahaffey Theater in 2013.
At the age of eleven, Ms. McInvale decided to focus her training on classical ballet and came under the direction of Paula Nuñez and Osmany Montano at America’s Ballet School. She also continued to explore styles of movement through modern and contemporary choreography under the master training of Elsa Valbuena, Jeanne Travers, and Sarah Walston. Ms. McInvale has received master training at the HARID Conservatory under Svetlana Osiyeva, Meelis Pakri, and Lauren Carey.
Ms. McInvale recently spent her third summer at the Gelsey Kirkland Academy in New York City receiving intensive ballet and repertory training with Gelsey Kirkland, Michael Chernov, Alexandra Lawler, Vera Soloveyva, Liudmila Polonskaya, John Pickup, and Karina Elver. Sarah continues to strive to perfect her ballet artistry in Vaganova, Cuban, and Bournonville methods.
