UN-DER-LINE

Tampa City Ballet's second short independent film, "UN-DER-LINE,”as well as the live performance of the same name examines the manifestation of the “othering” phenomenon which explores the efect exclusion has on people’s perception of themselves, the world, and their place in society. This concept reflects a clear distinction between “us” and “them,” the “self” and "the others” and is inspired by the exploration of tunnels and other things that hide beneath the surface.

The film will be followed by the live performance of a piece of the same name choreographed by director Paula Nunez. The work is an ode to freedom andexplores the concept of the emergence from darkness to light.
